Too bad so many people are loosing their lives over it. Reminds me of what happened at Pearl Harbor when the USA knew what was about to happen but did nothing to stop it because they knew this event would motivate Americans to war.
Check out the video's on this site, very interesting:

They always come out in November. This only makes sense.
Considering that previous XBOX's have launched in November, I would expect XBOX 3 to launch on 11-11-11 as opposed to 10-10-10.

If you take inflation into account, $129 today was worth about $105 back in the year 2000. I don't think we will see anymore $99 game consoles in the future.
This is only a temporary sale though...I don't think MS will do a $100 drop in USA
Edit: Just read fine print "Factory Recertified"
They said homes not people.
I think it would be possible to make a game of this size on 360. Above it says "the programmers had to compress SOME parts in the game".
This leads me to believe that PS3 games are not compressed. I also have read that 360 is very good with compression, and pritty much all the games out for it right now are compressed and they look no worse than a PS3 game.
The Toshiba HD-A3 HD-DVD Player is cheaper than this. At Amazon.com it is less than $120 Plus you get 5 HD-DVD movies
I would much rather have a stand alone player.

IPTV for the Xbox 360. Services that offer downloadable movies. Video conferencing services in HD.
Just think, a full 1080P movie would take about 10 seconds to download.
I think a 2.5" 160+ GB hard drive would be best for a HD Camcorder. Only 7 GB... come on.
thats if 360 does not do a price drop
I can't belive the wii is still selling this good.
1st Post!!!
I figure it cost sony maybe $10 more to make the 80 GB version over the 60 GB version.
They might as well make it come with kilzone 2. So that would be like selling Killzone for $90.
Even if Sony Dropped the price by $100 per year it still will not be $199 in 2009...maybe by 2011 or 2010 (if they drop it by $100 this year).
2007 PS3 = $599
2008 PS3 = $499
2009 PS3 = $399
2010 PS3 = $299
2011 PS3 = $199
I dont fully agree.
Nintendo could have made a very powerfull system and charged $499 for it. Or just charge $249 now to see if people like the system and charge $249 for the new HD version in a couple of years.
Works out to the consumer spending about the same.
In the last 3 months I have been using my 360 to watch DVD's, usually 2-3 episodes of Smallville or Stargate Atlantis back to back.
My 1st 360 got RROD after about 6 weeks of this. The replacement looks like it is headed in the same direction because I am now starting to get hardware video problems.
Many people keep their TV on even if they are not even watching it. Imagine all these 360's being on for 5-7 hours a day. Microsoft would be seeing nothing but red rings....
